Domorof is a vacation-rental directory: hosts list their places, guests find them, and stays are arranged directly between the two of you. We never process payments, so we never see card numbers or bank details. This page says plainly what we do collect and why.

What we collect

• Your account. Your name and email address, from Google sign-in. We never see or store a password.
• Listing content (hosts). What you write and upload for your listing, including its street address. The address stays private: public pages and maps show only an approximate area — the exact location is shared with a guest only after you accept their stay request.
• Photos. We strip hidden metadata (including embedded GPS location) from every photo at upload. Hosts can additionally mark photos "guests only" so they never appear publicly.
• Stay requests and messages. The requests, replies, and message threads between hosts and guests, kept as each side's record of the arrangement.
• Host financial records. Receipts, expenses, and income records hosts choose to keep on Domorof. These are private to the host's account and protected by an extra verification step (two-factor). We never sell or share them, and they are never visible to guests, other hosts, or automated visitors.
• Usage events. First-party records of searches, page views, and similar activity on Domorof — used to run the site and to show hosts honest demand statistics. We do not use third-party analytics or advertising trackers.

Cookies

One essential session cookie, so you stay signed in and the site works. No advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking.

AI processing — and your choice

Two features use an AI service (Anthropic) to save you typing: search queries may be interpreted by AI to understand what you're looking for, and hosts can have a photographed receipt read by AI to draft an expense record. AI drafts are always confirmed by you before anything is saved, and hosts can opt out of AI receipt reading per receipt or account-wide. We don't use your data to train AI models.

Services we rely on

Google (sign-in), Anthropic (the AI parsing above), Resend (sending email such as booking notifications), DigitalOcean (hosting, United States), and OpenStreetMap's Nominatim (turning addresses and typed town names into map coordinates). Each receives only what its job requires.

What we never do

• We never sell your personal information.
• We never run ads or advertising trackers.
• We never process payments or store payment details — booking and payment happen directly between host and guest.

Sharing between hosts and guests

When a host accepts a stay request, contact details are shared between that host and that guest so they can complete the booking directly. Public listing pages are, by design, public — including to search engines and AI assistants, which is how guests find hosts here.

Keeping and deleting your data

We keep your information while your account is active. Email us to request a copy of your data or deletion of your account. Financial and stay records are append-only by design (corrections are recorded as amendments, not silent edits), so some records may be retained where needed for the other party's legitimate records.

Security

HTTPS everywhere, two-factor verification on financial areas, photo metadata stripping, approximate-only public locations, and nightly backups.

Who this is for

Domorof is for adults. You must be 18 or older to use it — a stay is a real agreement between real people.
